English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “After Vengeance”

Overview:

Ayanokoji and Nanase’s latest journey takes them over the mountains, where dramatic revelations are made.

Our Take(Spoliers):

The conflict between Nanase and Ayanokoji did not go as I expected. The fight scene was awesome, and it made me realize how little we’ve seen Ayanokoji go all out. When he had a fist fight back during season two, it was the first time we saw him fight, I think, and I was impressed. He refused to strike Nanase here, not because she’s a girl, but if he did, he would be expelled. That doesn’t make sense to me because I feel like someone should have the right to defend themself but what do I know? My main issue with the conflict was how quickly it was resolved; it didn’t seem like Ayanokoji said anything profoundly moving to change her mind, but it sounds like he wasn’t her true enemy to begin with. It was nice to get to hear Ayanokoji’s inner thoughts and how he’s planning on using Nanase as a pawn.

We learned who the white room student is, and it was a bit surprising. Amasawa is the white room student, or at the very least, she is from the white room. What might be most surprising is the fact that she doesn’t seem to want to take out Ayanokoji but protect him. She’s in love with him, or so it seems, because she protects him from Kushida, who was sent off to record Ayanokoji fighting Nanase. I think it’s safe to say that the plot is thickening.
