Resistance and Revelation

Set in U.C. 0105, twelve years after the events of Char’s Rebellion, the film continues the story of Hathaway Noa. Under the alias “Mafty Navue Erin,” Hathaway leads the anti-Federation resistance group MAFTY in a campaign of assassinations against corrupt high-ranking officials.

The new trailer highlights the mounting tension as MAFTY prepares for a decisive strike on the Adelaide Conference. Central to the drama is Hathaway’s deepening connection to the mysterious Gigi Andalucia, whose cryptic insights and strange powers continue to haunt him. Meanwhile, Earth Federation commander Kenneth Sleg intensifies his efforts to eliminate the resistance, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation in Hong Kong.

A Global Musical Identity

One of the most talked-about aspects of the sequel is its eclectic soundtrack. International R&B superstar SZA performs the opening theme song, “Snooze.” The film also features a surprise inclusion of “Sweet Child o’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, alongside insert songs “Endroll” by Alexandros and “Circe” by SennaRin.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will be screened in the U.S. with both English subtitles and a new English dub. As the middle chapter of Yoshiyuki Tomino’s adapted novel trilogy, the film promises to deliver the “large-scale mobile suit combat and emotional depth” that has made this series a standout in the long-running Gundam franchise.
