English Dub Review: Sentenced to Be a Hero “Episode 10”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Xylo and Teoritta explore Ioff City, only to find that a faerie invasion is disrupting the town. They then find themselves teaming up with Xylo’s former comrade, whom Venetim released from prison.
Our Take:
Spriggan is certainly one crafty Demon Lord, as we’ve seen in the previous episode’s conclusion, where he’s actually possessing Iri’s body instead of Boojum, as Teoritta initially suspected. What’s even worse is that Spriggan is plotting to kill Teoritta for the Demon Blight to rule over humanity. Undoubtedly, this will surely test Xylo and Teoritta’s teamwork, especially since we’re close to the end of the season already. Time really does fly when you’re witnessing the show’s impressive presentation in action. Regarding this episode, it certainly looks like it’s concluding the first season with a massive bang, not just in the stakes but also in the animation.
Speaking of which, it bears repeating that the presentation from Studio Kai never ceases to amaze me, especially for the smooth character movements for Teoritta. There’s no doubt that most of that time was spent ensuring that Teoritta gets the proper animation treatment she deserves. I mean, she is a goddess after all, and someone like her deserves this type of treatment. Of course, that’s not the only reason this episode got me hooked. In terms of its dialogue-driven scenes amidst the faerie invasion, it serves as a thrilling start to the season’s final sentence, especially with the eccentric yet careless Rhyno joining the team.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
