English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Zero Hour”

Overview:

Captain Celebrity’s farewell party begins, but the Scarred Man has some unpleasant surprises in store…

Our Take(Spoilers):

I found it funny that Aizawa is helping Monika (the crab girl) with her investigation. What was so amusing about it was him wearing a business suit and not being happy about it, but she told him that it could be practice for if he ever had to apologize publicly, which you might remember he does in the main series. Stuff like this makes prequels fun, like seeing Deku and his mom at the celebration for Captain Celebrity, and Deku was even wearing CC merch! I think we all know that wouldn’t happen; that boy was way too obsessed with All Might to ever give any other hero the time of day.

There’s a problem with prequels as well, though. In the main series, we’ve never seen Captain Celebrity mentioned, so there could only be a couple of reasons for that. Either All for One somehow gets his powers, or he dies. If I were to bet on it, I would say that he dies; he’s been dropping death flags for two episodes now. I hope that he doesn’t die. I’m sure I’ve said that before, but seeing the photo with him and his family in this episode felt like twisting the knife.
