English Dub Review: A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans “The Misanthrope and the Heart’s Deepest Desire”

Overview:

Graduation assignment season is here again, and the advanced class tackles the unique tasks set upon them.

Our Take(Spoilers):

I know that I’ve been praising how this show handles characters moving on, but that was before one of my favorites graduated! I’m joking, but since Kyouka graduated and Neneko left school, we haven’t seen them since. Isaki is next to graduate, and I hope we still get to see her, but given how things have gone so far, I don’t think that’s likely. She’s as close to a main character as we’ve had, but I’ll admit that it would take away from what I feel is the point of the show if she didn’t move on.

One thing that has me a little confused is how the school curriculum is structured. From what I can tell, everyone did well on their final exam and passed, but only Isaki was allowed to graduate. This leads me to believe that the grading of finals and such is a little more nuanced than we’ve been led to believe. Machi and Karin both did fantastic with their finals, but the principal only let one person graduate? Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, and some of this will be answered in the next episode.
