The End of an Era: Beastars Final Season Part 2 Set for March 7 Premiere on Netflix
Fans of the critically acclaimed anthropomorphic drama Beastars finally have a date to circle on their calendars. After years of building tension and a split final season, the second and concluding part of the Beastars Final Season is officially set to debut on Netflix on March 7, 2026.
The announcement, which was accompanied by a striking new main visual, marks the end of a long journey for both the characters and the production team at Studio Orange.
A Long-Awaited Conclusion
The final season of Beastars was divided into two “cours” to ensure the high-quality CGI animation the series is known for could be maintained until the very end. Part 1 premiered on December 5, 2024, leaving fans on a cliffhanger for over a year. The upcoming March release will finally resolve the complex societal and personal conflicts that have defined the series since its 2019 debut.
According to a statement from Studio Orange, this production has been their “longest challenge” yet. The studio noted that the techniques developed during the making of Beastars have influenced their other works, and they are proud to finally bring Legoshi’s story to its definitive conclusion.
Facing the Final Beast: The Plot
The second part of the final season picks up as the divide between herbivores and carnivores reaches a breaking point. The narrative focuses on the final confrontation with the series’ most dangerous antagonist, Melon, a leopard-gazelle hybrid who represents the chaotic and often violent convergence of species.
The official synopsis teases a split path for the main protagonists:
-
Legoshi, the gray wolf who has struggled to reconcile his predatory instincts with his love for the rabbit Haru, finds himself in the Black Market, forced to confront his own identity one last time.
-
Louis, the red deer and former star of the drama club, continues to navigate the complexities of the surface world and his own destiny.
Reunited once more, the two must find an “answer” for a society shaken by fear and desire.
Cast and Creative Team
The final episodes will see the return of the series’ veteran creative team. Shinichi Matsumi returns to direct at Studio Orange, with Nanami Higuchi handling the scripts. Character designs are once again provided by Nao Otsu, and the emotional score is composed by Satoru Kosaki.
Adding a special touch to the finale, the ending theme song for Part 2, titled “Tiny Light,” will be performed by the global K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN.
Where to Watch
Beastars Final Season Part 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix worldwide starting March 7, 2026. For those looking to catch up before the finale, all previous seasons and Part 1 of the final season are currently available for streaming on the platform.
As the “coming-of-age ensemble drama” reaches its climax, fans are bracing for an emotional farewell to the world of Cherryton Academy and the Black Market. Whether Legoshi and Haru can find a miracle in their fractured world remains the biggest question of all.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
