Overview
Child Emperor rescues Waganma. The heroes take on threat-level Dragon monsters in a deadly fight.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, this installment continues the S-Class hero showcase, with Child Emperor stealing the spotlight through his bravery and clever problem-solving, while Puri-Puri Prisoner gets his own screen time in a mix of comedy and action. Atomic Samurai struggles against Black Sperm (Yes that’s the villains actual name), and Zombieman’s fight is still unfolding against another unusual foe, giving the season a sense of layered battles even without much Saitama involvement. Despite some uneven pacing and moments of flat animation, the episode delivers standout moments and strong character beats that remind viewers why certain heroes are fan favorites.
The fights are entertaining, though the season’s animation inconsistencies remain noticeable, with repeated frames and occasional awkward transitions. Yet this episode benefits from a slightly improved color palette and detail work compared to earlier entries, making the action sequences easier to follow. There’s also a good mix of humor and intensity, particularly in Puri-Puri Prisoner’s interactions, balancing lighthearted moments with the more serious, high-stakes confrontations.
Overall, this episode is an ok if not terrible installment that balances action, humor, and character moments, highlighting the strengths of the supporting heroes while keeping the story moving at a brisk pace. Even without heavy Saitama involvement or major plot revelations, it manages to engage both longtime fans and newcomers alike, offering enough excitement, charm, and clever hero moments to build anticipation for the finale.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
