Beyond the Magic: Glitch Productions Greenlights ‘Knights of Guinevere’ After Record-Breaking Debut

Glitch Productions is officially doubling down on its venture into 2D animation. Following a pilot release that can only be described as a viral juggernaut, the studio has announced a full-series greenlight for Knights of Guinevere.

The move marks a significant milestone for the indie powerhouse behind The Amazing Digital Circus, as it successfully transitions its signature high-stakes storytelling from 3D CGI to traditional 2D artistry.

A Debut for the History Books

When the Knights of Guinevere pilot dropped last September, expectations were high, but the reality exceeded even the studio’s most optimistic projections. The numbers paint a picture of a new crown jewel for indie animation:

Metric Achievement
Launch Week Views 11.9 Million (+304% over Murder Drones)
Positive Sentiment 99.4%
Total Watch Time 2.9 Million Hours
Channel Growth +2.3 Million Subscribers since launch

“Nine years on, we’re still absolutely blown-away by the instant connection, theorizing, and community support achieved through releasing our content YouTube-first,” said Kevin Lerdwichagul, CEO of Glitch Productions. He noted that while 2D production brought a “multitude of firsts” for the team, the overwhelming fan resonance has made the challenge well worth it.

The Dark Side of Park Planet

For the uninitiated, Knights of Guinevere is a sci-fi psychological thriller that trades whimsical fantasy for something much more unsettling.

The story is set on Park Planet, a massive, floating amusement park whose “crown jewel” is Princess Guinevere—an android mascot designed in countless forms by space engineers. While the park dazzles the elite, it casts a literal and metaphorical shadow over the rustic towns below.

The plot follows:

  • Frankie: A merch-factory worker who scavenges scrap to survive.

  • Andi: A reluctant junior space engineer.

  • The Hook: Frankie discovers an abandoned Guinevere android. Hoping it’s her ticket to a better life, she and Andi infiltrate the park’s secret labs to restore it, only to stumble into a horror story involving the park’s mysterious owners.

More Than Just a Series: Trailers and BTS

Alongside the greenlight, Glitch has released a series trailer on their YouTube channel, giving fans a glimpse of the visual evolution and upcoming psychological twists.

For the “super-fans,” the studio is also offering a limited-edition BTS art book. Available for a strict three-week window, the book includes:

  • Never-before-seen visual concepts.

  • Production storyboards from the pilot.

  • Hardcover and softcover formats.

“Across all of our releases, one thing will never change,” Lerdwichagul added. “We just want to make cool shit that the fans will love.”

What’s Next for Glitch?

2026 is shaping up to be the year of Glitch. In addition to Knights of Guinevere, the studio is currently in production on its next 2D pilot, “Gameoverse,” created by internet legend Ross O’Donovan. That project is slated to debut in May 2026.

As Glitch continues to dominate the YouTube landscape—bolstered by the staggering 1 billion views of The Amazing Digital Circus—their fierce independence remains their greatest strength, even as their library finds homes on global platforms like Netflix and Prime Video.
