English Dub Season Review: Bad Girl Season One
Overview:
A total goody-two-shoes adopts the persona of a bad girl. Too bad this very good girl isn’t very good at being bad!
Our Take:
When it comes to reviewing this series, I have to look at it in the sense of “would I recommend this show to someone?” That’s a tough question to answer, and I think it depends on what you’re looking for. I’ve gotten a lot more selective about the anime I watch. I used to do nothing but watch anime, so if I watched a show that wasn’t great every once in a while, then who cared? But now I don’t watch as much, so I want to watch something I will really enjoy. Bad Girl is not a show that I really enjoyed, but I didn’t hate it either. It didn’t do anything particularly well or unique.
The one thing I can say that’s very positive about Bad Girl is the voice acting. Monica Rial, Luci Christian, and Brittney Karbowski are amazing as always. I have to say I loved the performance of Kira Vincent-Davis, who played Suzu. She was my favorite character in the series, and I think that Kira was a big reason why.
Bad Girl felt like a yuri series that didn’t want to commit to being a yuri series. Usually, in a series that’s yuri, there’s a bit more focus on romance, and that wasn’t the case here. I don’t even know if I could say that Yuu lusts after Atori in a traditional sense. Bad Girl ends up being a show that I don’t feel I can recommend to anyone.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
