English Dub Review: Cat’s Eye “First Date in a While”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
The Cat’s Eye sisters infiltrate the Toyo Foundation’s remote island to recover their father’s painting.
Our Take:
The villainous Cranaff Syndicate may still be on the hunt for Cat’s Eye, but that hasn’t stopped one of the sisters from attending something crucial: a date. This week’s episode slowed things down a bit for Hitomi, who went on a date with Toshio at the Budapest Art Museum. However, their date didn’t last long when they discovered one of Michael Heinz’s paintings. If that’s not enough to ruin their day off, they also find that the painting is among those being shipped to a private island owned by the infamous Toyo Foundation. This puts Hitomi on a solo mission to infiltrate the island as a skilled driver and steal the painting back.
Although Toshio is also going undercover, he won’t be much of a problem since he might get disqualified from the qualifying round. That is, unless there’s a loophole that would give Toshio an extra spot in the next round. If that’s the case, then Hitomi would really be in hot water regarding her hiding her true identity from him. With us already in the home stretch, it would make sense for “First Date in a While” to be the first part of the sisters’ latest high-stakes mission. Given the Cranaff Syndicate’s watchful eyes and the formidable Toyo Foundation, something tells me that their latest mission may turn out to be more exciting than a date.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
