Review: Krapopolis “Nike (The Goddness)”
Overview
Tyrannis and his siblings enter a contest; Shlub and Deliria go to a play; she hates it.
Our Take
Yes, the Nike brand was in fact named after the Greek goddess of victory which I’m sure NOBODY knew, but yes that’s the etymology of the Phil Knight multi-billion dollar athletics wear company. But, in the world of Krapopolis, she’s merely used for yet another contest episode of the FOX animated sitcom that seems to be running out of ideas as most episodes of this show nowadays seems to always consist of some sort of bet, contest, game, etc.
Shlub and Deliria’s bit was more tolerable and original and I’ve actually quite enjoyed their weekly marriage quarrels as the petty arguments are delivered by two fabulous actors in the form of Matt Berry and Hannah Waddingham. The two have a fun vibe that really sounds like a legit married couple and the two co-exist quite nicely in their strange roles as bedfellows.
Overall, a split week of Krapopolis. With the number of contests this show does the fact that they bring in the goddess of victory to see over it really didn’t do much for me. It’s only Shlub and Deliria’s contributions that are even giving this episode a passing grade.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
