English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Epilogue, The Hellish Todoroki Family: Final”
Overview:
With the long conflict over at last, the time has come to rebuild. Both on a societal and personal level.
Our Take(Spoilers):
I find it a little weird that now that Deku is quirkless, he’s still in the hero course at UA. I get that he’s helped save the world, so maybe they are letting him stay as a way to repay him. But I don’t think he can be a hero anymore. He said he still has some embers left, but I don’t think it’s the same as how All-Might is because he barely had his powers for a year. It was nice to see Bakugo come full circle from how he treated Deku in the beginning. Originally, he made fun of Deku for being quirkless, but now, when he finds out that Deku lost his powers, it brings him to tears.
With the Todoroki family getting a shoutout in the episode title, I thought there would be more of them. Only the last five minutes or so of the episode were dedicated to them. All of the family went to visit Dabi in prison, and that boy has seen better days. It seems like they’re making him comfortable until he passes, which I imagine is hard to face for Endeavor and his wife. It feels odd that they would get an entire episode dedicated to them when we have so few left.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
