English Dub Review: Let This Grieving Soul Retire “I Want to Leave the City’s Peace to You”
Overview
Krai enjoys his vacation, but Arnold, who’s in pursuit him, is having the worst time.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, the story leans fully into its comedic strengths as Krai attempts to enjoy what is meant to be a peaceful vacation, an idea that immediately clashes with the chaos that naturally follows him. Misunderstandings pile up rapidly, especially for poor Tino, whose anxiety turns even harmless moments into perceived death flags. Meanwhile, Liz and Sitri remain exactly as fans remember them, effortlessly stirring trouble while treating the vacation as anything but restful.
The episode thrives on escalating miscommunication and character-driven humor, turning simple intentions into overblown crises. Krai’s determination to offload responsibility and avoid conflict only worsens the situation, creating a domino effect where others misread his every move. Side characters shine through exaggerated reactions and unintended heroics, reinforcing the series’ trademark charm: frantic misunderstandings, zero real consequences, and a world that bends itself into knots around an oblivious protagonist.
Overall, this episode feels like the series settling comfortably back into its groove—lighthearted, absurd, and unapologetically silly. While the plot clearly feels like it’s stalling before moving forward, the humor, character dynamics, and “no casualties” spirit remain intact. It may not push the story far, but it delivers consistent laughs and reaffirms why this chaotic brand of comedy still works so well.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
