Our Take
Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head returns for it’s penultimate season finale and they do so with two great bits that shows that eventually these producers were going to get it right and land us a couple of quarter-hours that gives us the classic comedy this show is known for. Two idiots trying to score or make money just seems to work and work it does this week.
“Million Dollar Reward”‘s spook of Law & Order was very well done and the entirety of the premise was funny though I think I would’ve rather seen these two guys dress up as bounty hunters and make an attempt to get the actual reward that way versus turning themselves in though I did enjoy seeing the duo taken away in handcuffs. Whether or not the charges stick kind of doesn’t matter, but still fun regardless.
“Get Well Soon” is a premise kind of done a few times even by The Simpsons and Family Guy but seeing the savage beatings that Beavis went through didn’t get old not even for a second as I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off at every violent turn the poor guy had to take. A simply classic premise that would certainly not feel out of place in the nineties that works super well here.
Overall, a solid week of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, join us next month as we get in to the season finale!
