Review: Haha, You Clowns “Duncan Holds A Baby”

Duncan struggles to hide his fear of holding babies.

Our Take

Babies ‘R Us but they aren’t Duncan as the youngest brother of three has stage four stage fright of holding babies though it may just be more of a fear of the babies themselves especially with this little newborn fucker that shows up on the scene. Speaking of scenes, Jeanette Lee and Sean Astin show up as next door neighbors which is just being established now two-thirds of the way through the season but I’m glad we did that because who wouldn’t want one of the great billiards players in the world and Samwise Gamgee as neighbors?

Duncan’s fear of holding babies goes borderline demented in what is clearly the most disturbing episode of Haha You Clowns! that I’ve seen in years. The babies are all disgusting to look at and are clearly planning something that I can’t quite put my finger on, but Joe Cappa knows and I hope we get to see it sooner rather than later. Dad isn’t seen a lot this week but it is interesting that we had back-to-back episodes dealing with everyone’s innate fears.

Between Preston’s jacket, dad’s fear of flying, and now Duncan having a fear of holding babies, that leaves Tristan as one where we haven’t learned about fears just yet but maybe that’s coming soon. For all we know it’s a fear of babies flying which would be apropo.
