Hulu Sets Premiere For Wandance English Dub Season One
Hulu is set to stream the English dubbed adaptation of the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Coffee’s critically acclaimed manga, Wandance, bringing a burst of hip-hop energy, drama, and heartfelt coming-of-age storytelling to the platform. Produced by the renowned studio Madhouse, the series has quickly become a must-watch for fans of music and sports anime. The first episode drops November 12th.
Wandance centers on Kaboku Kotani, a first-year high school student struggling with an intense stutter and a deep desire to simply blend into the crowd. His strategy for high school is to keep his head down and draw no attention—a task made difficult by his social anxiety and speech impediment.
Everything changes when he encounters his classmate, Hikari Wanda. Wanda is a free spirit who pursues hip-hop dance with fearless passion, practicing on the school grounds as if the rest of the world doesn’t exist. Captivated by her ability to express herself without needing a single word, Kaboku is inspired to face his own insecurities head-on.
Seeking a form of communication that transcends his speech limitations, Kaboku takes the plunge and joins the dance club, beginning a transformative journey into the unfamiliar world of hip-hop and self-liberation.
The series is directed by Michiya Kato, who also handles the screenplays and VFX, with Satoshi Tasaki and Taiki Imamura as both character designers and chief animation directors, and Riehata as the dance producer. The English dubbed adaptation is being produced by Iyuno.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
