English Dub Review: With You, Our Love Will Make It Through “Episode 4”

Mari, Tsunagu, and Yukihiro go out together on their day off.

Our Take(Spoilers):

This is going to be a hard episode to review because it did somethings that few romance shows do. But it also might be leaning into something that a lot of them do and I hate it. Yukihiro admits to himself that he might be starting to get feelings for Mari. I don’t typically like love triangles and to be fair to this show it does feel like it’s setting up tropes to subvert them. So my hope that Yukihiro meets a female beastperson might be what happens.

Speaking of subverting tropes, it’s only episode four and Mari and Tsunagu have admitted to having feelings for each other. That is what I love about this show and sets it apart from other romance shows. In fact, as I was thinking about both the things I don’t like and do like I started to think of a show this reminds me of. If you’ve watched Horimiya, you might be thinking the same thing as me. The main couple has a tiny bit of a love triangle to start the story but it ultimately doesn’t matter because they get together so early on. I hope Yukihiro get’s his own love interest not only to squash a love triangle but also because he’s a great guy and doesn’t want to ruin what his friends have. It’s honestly such a refreshing sweet show, so far.
