English Dub Review: Spy X Family “White Jealousy; The Eden College Busjacking Incident”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
Loid deals with an angry coworker, and Anya tries smoothing things over with Damian.
OUR TAKE
It’s back to business as usual this week on Spy X Family, as Loid continues to hold down the fort at his cover job as a doctor. Nothing really bad going on with him specifically, but it seems an older and higher ranking resident is insanely jealous of how much good attention he gets from everyone, especially from the ladies, and specifically Fiona, much to her disgust. So, this doctor, Gerald Gorey, head of the medical department, does what any sane man would do…try to make circumstantial evidence that Loid is having an affair! And when that obviously doesn’t work, leak something to the secret police and make them take him in for questioning! See, this is all natural coworker behavior. Luckily, Loid has people that have his back, as Franky taps the phones and intercepts the calls, making a fake arrest that then leads to Gerald getting his comeuppance. With that, the day is saved, and any threat to Loid’s cover, unintended or otherwise, has been thwarted. It’s a short, self contained Loid focused story, and I hope you enjoyed it because now we enter a story arc that will be going for at least the next couple of weeks!
Much like the Cruise Adventure arc that took up a good portion of the previous season, it seems now we are entering, as the wiki refers to it, the Bus Hijacking arc. Though instead of focusing on Yor, and since Loid already got a ton of focus in this season already, now we get a lot more of Anya and Damian. Things begin pleasant and normal enough, with Anya doing her clumsy way of making peace with Damian and, in her self imposed war with Yor in who can befriend a Desmond the fastest, tells him that he can pay her back for her giving him her handkerchief by inviting her family over for dinner, even spilling that their moms are now good friends. However, that all changes when they get on a bus that is hijacked by the supposedly infamous Red Circus terrorist gang and their leader Billy Squire. Billy is a tall and imposing man, and Anya and Damian are…well, children, so that’s already a pretty clear David and Goliath story for them, but otherwise I don’t really know what to expect here. But we may get a better idea as the arc fully sets off in earnest in the next episode!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
