English Dub Review: Bad Girl “Natural-Born Ero-ist / Secret Club / Please Tell Me!”

Overview:

Yuu plots to use her delinquent charisma to impress Atori during a Student Council visit to a kindergarten.

Our Take:

Sometimes you have a plot-heavy story that carries a show, or you have a lot of great characters that make a show successful, even with minimal plot. Bad Girl, so far, is an example of the latter. I’m still trying to put my finger on what the main plot is, but it seems that Yuu has a crush on Atori and thinks being a “delinquent” is the only way to get her attention. Meanwhile, Atori has been the “idol” for most of her life and seems to want to be treated normally by someone.

It’s hard to tell where this show will go, but as long as the characters are great, I’m sold. Yuu is great, I think there’s more to Atori than we’re being shown, and Suzu is my frontrunner for favorite character because she’s a great friend and I think she might have a crush on Yuu. All of this, and we’ve barely been introduced to the fourth character, Rura, who I am pretty sure is voiced by Brittney Karbowski. As long as the characters are this enjoyable, I think I can easily recommend this show.
