English Dub Review: My Dress-Up Darling “Dear My Dress-Up Darling”
Overview:
Marin, Wakana, and the others finally have their “Coffin” group cosplay session.
Our Take(Spoilers):
Okay, as far as the reason that Akira “doesn’t” like Marin, I think we got a decent explanation. Turns out that she actually loves Marin after she saw her cosplay as Black Lobelia. She went so far as to call Marin her “princess,” and it wasn’t that she didn’t want to work with Marin or anything; it was more the fact that she felt like she wasn’t worthy to be around her. She has a bad case of resting bitch face because when she was trying to look cool and indifferent, she looked pissed off. As you might have guessed, finding this out made Marin’s day, but she had her own issue to deal with.
Marin decided that at the end of the photoshoot, when it was just her and Gojo, she would confess that she loved him. I think I got my hopes a little too high because, with how this show has been, I expected her to actually confess, which would stray from rom-com norms. I don’t know which would have been worse, if she had confessed and he thought she meant that she loved him as a friend, or what we got with her not confessing at all. It was a minor issue, and I hope we get a third season a lot faster than we got a second because I need to see these love birds get together.
