English Dub Review: A Couple of Cuckoos “Thank You for Falling in Love with Me”
Overview:
The girls try to explain away Erika’s kiss with Nagi.
Our Take(Spoilers):
I don’t know how this show managed to have a ton of progress but still made it go nowhere. After Erika kissed Nagi, he was doing his best to avoid her, and since they live together, you can imagine that’s tough. But while making his own dinner late at night, he overhears her on the phone with her dad admitting that she’s in love with him. He then concludes that he’s in love with her, so the show would presumably pivot into being about them as a couple, and everyone else learning to deal with it, right? Wrong, it feels like nothing has changed at all because Nagi is still trying to decide who he wants to be with on a forever basis.
Also, something was up with the Crunchyroll subtitles in this one because it was putting a lot of stuff on-screen that was from the previous episode. I know it’s become a cool thing to hate on Crunchyroll, but when a company starts to monopolize an entire hobby, essentially, it sucks when they drop the ball so much.
There’s no news of a third season as of now, and with the way this episode ended, that’s unfortunate. After the credits, we got a scene where Hiro asks Nagi to go out with her. I’m sure it’s probably a trick like when she asked him to marry her, but it’s still a hell of a scene to end on.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
