Our Take
Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head returns and although we’re light on cutaways this week the show more than makes up for it with two funny quarter-hours.
First up, the savage beating Van Driessen takes during the course of the first 10-minutes of this week’s episode is truly quite shocking and yet I couldn’t help bellowing laughter through the entirety of it. Yes, Beavis and Butt-Head beat the shit out of their teacher, but then the coup de grace at the end was maybe some of the most maniacal that I’ve ever seen this show get, it’s truly outrageous.
“Tattoo” was a different type of funny featuring a long burn that eventually gives way at the prestige for a huge laugh that works super well. Personally, I’d like to know where these boys are getting all of the money they get for their shenanigans, but maybe I shouldn’t.
As mentioned before, not a ton of cutaways this week so if you’re a fan that prefers that this may not be your week, but what we did get brought back memories of my backyard wrestling days for sure and it’s fascinating to see that those leagues draw crowds nowadays. In any event, an overall solid week of Beavis and Butt-Head.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
