English Dub Review: Flower and Asura “Matching Charms and a Falling-Out”

Overview:

Hana makes new friends during a recitation workshop. Little does she know that one of them has a connection to Anne’s past.

Our Take:

One thing I’ve had to come to terms with as I’ve gotten older is that sometimes you and old friends fall out of touch. Sometimes nothing in particular happens, people grow and change, and sometimes they drift apart. That seems to be what might be happening with Anne and her old friend Misaki, but luckily, it looks like Misaki doesn’t want to let the relationship go. Misaki has a good luck charm she keeps on her at all times, and it turns out that it was Anne who got it for her. I know that a relationship fading is a part of growing up, but for their sake, I hope they can figure it out.

A recitation workshop wasn’t something I thought would be a thing, but if I think of it like a sports club, it makes sense. I played football in high school, and we had summer camps and things like that, and I suppose that’s a “workshop” of sorts. Hana was asked if she had drama club experience because of how she recites the dialogue, so I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed.
