Netflix Details 2025 And 2026 Adult Animation Slate
At Anime NYC, Netflix showcased new trailers and content from its growing adult-targeted anime lineup. The streaming service previewed new seasons for several popular shows, including Blue Eye Samurai, Sakamoto Days, as well as the upcoming series Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch and Devil May Cry.
The event highlighted Netflix’s increasing presence in the adult animation space, which already includes acclaimed series like the Emmy-nominated Arcane. The show is based on the popular video game series and stars Liev Schreiber as the voice of Sam Fisher.

Mizu’s quest for revenge will continue. Season 2 of the award winning series, Blue Eye Samurai is now in production. There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
