OUR TAKE
We’re back for the middle installment of Dr Stone’s three part final season, having taken a three month break since the last episode, hence the lack of Season Review. I at least made sure to rewatch the most recent episode since a lot of that season has been wiped from my mind. So, I do remember now that the conflict between Senku and Xeno’s team is more or less resolved, with both sides taking hostages and negotiating deals, specifically that Senku’s side is going to try and revive a million people, so in exchange for the recipe for revival fluid, the sides are now essentially in alliance…aside from Stanley, who is not going to let his life partner Xeno be captured. So yay, the war of science is over and now they can get to what they wanted all along: the SCIENCE! Specifically, figuring out what the hell happened all those millenia ago when everyone got stoned, and not in the fun way. And I gotta admit, after seeing Senku and Xeno going at it in the last chunk, it’s nice to see them enthusiastically working together to nerd out about how that beam happened and where they can go to learn its origins.
What they’ve come to understand, at least in this episode, is that the beam seemed to originate in South America (specifically the Amazon Rainforest), happened at low altitude, did not come from space (otherwise Byakuya’s satellite would have been petrified too), and probably isn’t exactly light, as it moved too slow to be at the speed of light, but still enveloped the planet in about less than an hour. Okay, so far so good, and while that’s not everything they need to know, it’s still a hell of a lot more than they had when they started. Plus, there’s also the mysterious Why-Man, the being that still wishes to petrify the whole planet again. It hasn’t been brought up in awhile but since we’re closing in on the end, it’s bound to come up again at some point I’m sure. And while one part of the team begins gathering petrified humans to build the population of one million for their future city, Senku and his part of the team are headed to the Amazon to solve once and for all. So, see you here next week as we make it to Amazon on same day shipping!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
