English Dub Review: To Be Hero X “Loss and Gain”

Overview:

After escaping the orphanage, Cyan is forced to fend for herself until she’s presented with an opportunity.

Our Take(Spoilers):

Between this and My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, it appears that heroes who are also pop stars are gaining popularity. In Lucky Cyan’s case, she’s already made it big by the end of the episode. I wondered what would happen to Luo when Cyan made her escape. I thought he would be tortured or something (and perhaps he was), but he was able to listen to Cyan make her debut. But then the Dean came up to him and told him something about Cyan, and it seemed to upset him greatly. The next time we see the campus, everyone is running around like zombies. I couldn’t tell if it was the Dean or Luo making them that way, but I suppose we’ll find out next time.

I hope we learn what the Dean said to Luo at some point, but for now, all we can do is speculate. I’m worried that when Cyan finally gets to see Luo again, he will be a villain and lost. It would be nice if that doesn’t end up being the case, because it would be nice if every arc of this show isn’t progressively more depressing.
