English Dub Review: Teogonia “The Power of God”

Overview:

Macaques come flooding through the gate opened by the inspector. Will Kai arrive in time to save Lag Village?

Our Take(Spoilers):

I was wondering how Kai was going to explain to everyone why they saw him with guardian bearer marks on his face. Turns out his friends gave him the perfect excuse, they joined battle with the macaques and painted their faces like guardian bearers. They did this to confuse their attackers and draw them away from the baron. Their plan worked and it gave Kai the perfect alibi even though he was outside the city. I suppose it’s not a huge stretch that someone else could come up with the same idea. I would rather that people knew about it already because I think it would push the story in interesting ways.

If they didn’t know he was a guardian bearer before I feel like they should after what he did next. He took off after the inspector that kidnapped Elsa. They were in a carriage and he had the speed to catch up to them which as far as I know only a guardian bearer could do but maybe that will be addressed in the next episode. More importantly, Elsa was mortally injured in the rescue attempt and Kai is attempting to save her somehow. I personally hope he’s successful even though I’m team Jose, but if Elsa lives I think she’s going to become the winner of Kai’s affections.
