Review: Grimsburg “Blue Light District”
Overview
Roles get reversed in Flute and Summers’ partnership after male sex workers start turning up dead.
Our Take
One of the real strengths about both Grimsburg and Krapopolis is that over the last season or so both series have leaned more towards sex humor than anything else and I think it’s starting to rub off (see what I did there) to some of the other series like Family Guy in that we’re seeing more and more premises based on orgies, sex workers, and the like and clearly the viewership is responding well because all three aforementioned series have been renewed for the next several years.
Another trend that’s starting to show up specifically on Grimsburg, slowly but sure the reoccurring star power of Martin Short (“Otis”) is starting to come through. It’s in very small doses, which is agonizing and is even commented on during this week’s climax, but it seems like that role is starting to pick up some steam which I hope means we get to see more of him in the future because to have KILLERS on the staff like Marty and Rachel and Kevin and Alan (who should maybe be in Emmy contention because of this episode alone) means the back-end of the cast is starting to become a formidable bench, one that the show should continue to build on in the years ahead.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
