English Dub Review: The Beginning After the End “Meeting the King”
Overview
Arthur’s encounter with some bandits leads to a tumble into a ravine, where he has a bizarre encounter.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, we get some proper character development and emotional depth for Arthur, as he finds himself in unfamiliar territory, both physically and mentally, and encounters a mysterious figure who challenges his ideals and pushes him toward growth. Their dynamic feels meaningful and sets the stage for deeper themes ahead.
The rest of the proceedings introduce new elements of the magical system, offering viewers a better understanding of how power can evolve through discipline and inner change. Though quieter in tone, the episode leans into introspection and growth, allowing the protagonist to reflect on past mistakes and begin laying the foundation for his future.
Overall, this episode offers meaningful progression for Arthur’s journey, even if the pacing isn’t flawless. Despite the rough edges, There’s a noticeable effort to weave in world-building and philosophical undertones, though the presentation may feel uneven due to technical shortcomings in the animation, the core of the story remains engaging, and still managed to keep me hooked despite whats presented. The question now is, how will Arthur get back to his family?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
