English Dub Review: Teogonia ”The Priest and the Inspector”

Overview:

An inspector from the central plain visits Rag Village, and Kai escorts a priest following an org band.

Our Take:

I fully planned to come into this review again and trash Crunchyroll for their technical issues. Don’t get me wrong, having the subtitles like I was watching the episode subbed all episode long was annoying, but if it wasn’t for that, then I wouldn’t know they call the pig guys “orgs”, not “orcs”. I still got frustrated because typically the subtitles don’t align with the dub very well, and it made for a distracting way to watch the episode.

The inspector from Rag Village was a total tool. He was exactly what you would expect from someone who gets a cushy job where they don’t have to do much but can ask for everything. I hope he gets what’s due to him in the next episode.

Kai and Jose came across a village with their group that had been attacked by the orgs. In that village, we are introduced to a new race, the Uzelle, which looks similar to gazelles. I was sad that the baron of that village died; she seemed like she would have been a cool character, but hopefully we get to see more Uzelle.
