English Dub Review: From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! ” Dad Gets Into Dual-wielding”

Impressed by a rare accomplishment, the principal asks Grace aka Kenzaburo to participate in the Magic Exhibition.

Our Take:

With the revelation that Kenzaburo’s daughter, Hinako is able to control the world her dad is in through the game we got some other information to process. I don’t know exactly how it works but somehow the only way Kenzaburo can progress is while his daughter is playing the game. Does he still have agency over his own choices or does Hinako control that too? It’s hard to tell but Hinako named his dragon familiar Orion in hopes that he would notice it was her that interfered but he hasn’t yet.

If you’ve ever watched a otome game villainess anime then you’ve seen the premise. When the new person reincarnates as the villainess it changes things because the characters that would normally fall in love with the main heroine fall in love with the villainess instead. That’s going to be interesting to watch as he can’t make any progress without his daughter or wife playing. I also loved the Dragonball Z reference between Hinako and Mitsuko. I hope Kenzaburo is able to make it back home because this is a great family he has.
