English Dub Review: Bye Bye, Earth ” Absurdity: Asking the Voices of Swords”
Overview:
Gwyn and his band press farther into the castle depths, fending off danger and treachery from all sides.
Our Take:
You know a show is confusing when even the visuals start to confuse you. I’ll admit that the fight scenes in this episode were some of the best of the series thus far. But beyond that, I can’t wrap my head around where the characters are in space. They were all seemingly underground somewhere, but then the king, Gaff, shows up out of nowhere. The building, I thought he had come from, wasn’t where they had come from but where Gwyn and Belle were trying to go. So, they seemingly showed up out of nowhere.
Adonis is still doing bad guy things, but for what reason, I couldn’t tell you. Look, I get it. I’m frustrated, you’re frustrated, we’re all frustrated. I’ve honestly thought about buying the light novel because now it’s available in the West. Maybe, just maybe, the light novel makes more sense, and as we know, anime is often used to sell the source material. I have to admit that if that’s the plan here, it’s both genius and diabolical. Maybe we’ll have a big “aha” moment at the end.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
