English Dub Review: Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You. “The Times I Spent With You”
Overview:
Shin steps up as the student council president to ensure the Ao High Festival can be held.
Our Take:
When the goddess of school and student council vice president confessed to Shin I knew he didn’t have feelings for her. But I thought he might say yes to dating her because it would help him to not think about Mizuho and it’s something that a high-schooler who doesn’t know much about their feelings might do. Imagine my surprise when he turns down her confession and tells her that there’s a girl he’s been in love with for a long time. Obviously, I didn’t grow up in Japan and have no way of knowing how well anime reflects their high school lives, but I’ve noticed that people take being turned down well in anime. Much better than I saw anyone at my high school handle it that’s for sure.
Shin managed to talk the teachers into letting the festival still happen despite the evil “virus”. I think Mizuho explaining that she needed the festival was the turning point because since she’s an aspiring manga artist the festival is a great way for her to get her work out there and get help as well. This was an okay episode but I feel like we’ve been treading water for a while now.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
