English Dub Review: Sakamoto Days “Source of Strength”

Overview (Spoilers Below):
Sakamoto goes all out in a fierce one-on-one duel with Boiled.  Meanwhile, ORDER members are tasked with handling a serial case targeting assassins.

Our Take:
What a way to cap off a “nice” day at the amusement park: Sakamoto defeating Boiled in his original form.  Of course, his skinniness was only temporary, as he regained weight a day after defeating Boiled.  However, even though Sakamoto’s family is safe from the assassins, that doesn’t mean his problems are far from over, as Aoi eventually discovers the bounty placed on Sakamoto.  So now the former hitman not only has to prevent himself from killing people but also refrain from keeping secrets from his wife.  This would certainly provide an extra heft in Sakamoto’s challenge to maintain his peaceful life, but on the bright side, it also means more action-packed fun for us viewers.
To make matters more difficult, Sakamoto and his allies also discover through Nagumo that a mysterious person known as “X” is responsible for the bounty and has been murdering hitmen.  With a codename like “X”, it’s no wonder this assassin killer is considered dangerous.  This means Sakamoto would have to regain his strength if he wants to protect his family from X, resulting in Lu and Shin protecting his store from other hitmen.  As usual, this is another episode that benefits from its presentation and entertainment values, especially Sakamoto’s battle with Boiled and Lu’s drunken kung fu style, the latter of which proved to be more dangerous than her regular style.  Of course, it wasn’t without the humor accompanying its action, including Lu and Shin fending off the hitmen and Nagumo’s prank against Shin.  Nagumo sure does have a sense of humor amid his deranged personality.
