Review: American Dad “Nasty Christmas”
Overview
Bullock throws a private, star-studded Christmas party the same night as the CIA work party; Stan and Klaus are determined to get in, by any means necessary.
Our Take
I can’t help but a lot of this episode of American Dad was some talk in the writers room about who does and does not get invited to Seth MacFarlane’s legendary yearly Christmas bashes. From what I hear it’s a very star-studded affair and with the way the American Dad creator wraps up this episode I can’t not think that confirmed the nod entirely. Could I be looking too far into this? Perhaps…I hear the yearly Seth festivities are a good time.
In any event we get our holiday episode for American Dad and it’s a very strong one indeed. “Nasty Christmas” takes so many twists and turns at the beginning I was a tad worried that the episode was going to lose it’s way but even with checking in on Francine and her situation I was impressed with how everything landed in the end. There were TONS of hysterical one-liners all over the place as well with Jeff and Steve playing a rousing game of mini-golf, Dick singing I’m Blue (we need a full recording of this), and Francine’s jabs at Stan while he gets stuck at the North Pole.
I really want to get into the two holly-jolly characters who stole the show but it would be giving away way too much and you should really put this week’s episode of American Dad on your watchlist because in a season where The Simpsons has had multiple specials,Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers checking in with theirs, American Dad slides into our DMs all nasty and leaves us a solid jaunt.
And no I’ve never been to a Seth MacFarlane Christmas party.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
