English Dub Review: You are Ms. Servant. “You are Ms. Yuki; You Won’t Miss Out”
Overview
“You are Ms. Yuki”
Riko, Hitoyoshi’s younger sister Riko, pays him a visit to see the new puppy. As a lover of beautiful women, she easily gets along with Yuki despite her being a former assassin. In awe at Yuki’s skills, she decides to use her for a school assignment.
“You Won’t Miss Out”
To experience a “normal” school life, Yuki enrolls at the same school as Hitoyoshi. Seeing boys rush off, she finds out the school store sells a rare yakisoba bread. Yuki heads out the window, leaving Hitoyoshi to worry whether she’ll fit in or not.
Our Take
This time around, Crunchyroll felt the need to release two dubbed episodes at once this week with the former episode introducing Riko’s arrival at Hitoyoshi’s house adding fresh energy. She’s immediately captivated by both Yuki (Which is the Maid’s name now) and their newly added dog, unfazed by Yuki’s assassin past, which only seems to deepen her admiration. Riko’s vibrant personality complements Yuki and Hitoyoshi, while hints about Hitoyoshi’s parents’ separation introduce the possibility of further backstory exploration.
As for the second episode, Yuki’s quest for a normal life takes a bold step as she enrolls in Hitoyoshi’s school, much to his surprise. Her determination to experience everyday student life leads to lighthearted moments, like her enthusiastic cafeteria food grab, and contrasts humorously with her assassin background. Meanwhile, Riko’s presence at the summer festival showcases her liveliness and unexpectedly independent streak, blending innocence with her determination to support Yuki and Hitoyoshi.
Overall, both episodes were quite fun but also had hints of complexity in Yuki’s journey. With Yuki’s transition into school life. Riko’s spirited energy and quick bond with Yuki bring out fun, new dynamics in the group, while Yuki’s journey to “normalcy” adds warmth and lightheartedness to her character. While, the other episode introduces an alluring yet menacing school nurse, which adds layers of intrigue. With this unknown arrival suggesting ties to Yuki’s past, part of me knows this could potentially lead to something bigger in later storylines and I’m all for it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
