Report: Hulu Gets Bad Friends-Inspired Animated Series With Bobby Lee And Andrew Santino
Deadline is reporting that Hulu has won a bid to take on a pilot presentation for a new adult animated comedy series inspired by Bad Friends podcast co-hosts Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino and co-created with Nick Kreiss and Andres Salaff.
The premise of the series affectionately titled Bad Friends sees a pill bug voiced by Lee and a lightning bug voiced by Santino navigating high school in a series produced by 20th Television Animation.
Our Take
Bad Friends is one of my favorite podcasts on the internet and Andrew Santino is already kicking ass on Adult Swim’s Royal Crackers, so to see those guys team on an animated series has me very excited. In the meantime, Hulu has a very busy Summer 2024 with a number of original series returning including new seasons of Futurama, Hit-Monkey, and Solar Opposites incoming.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
