English Dub Review: Metallic Rouge “Code Eve”

Overview

The true identity of the Puppet Master is revealed. Rouge, Silvia, and all the others listen in shock as he explains his plans and the world he wishes for. Were Rouge and the rest no more than puppets in his play? Our Take

In the climactic revelation, the true identity of the Puppetmaster emerges, as a figure previously shrouded in mystery yet wielding immense influence over the events unfolding. With the intricate web of manipulations also extending to the Immortal Nine, positioning them as pawns in a grand scheme to test the capabilities of Nean androids against humans. As the plot unfolds, Rouge discovers the extent of the Puppetmaster’s control, and how long he’s been pulling the strings…

Despite the Puppetmaster’s machinations threatening the world of Neans, a glimmer of hope arises with Naomi’s id embedded within Rouge, offering a potential solution to disarm the Puppetmaster’s hold. Just as despair seems imminent, an unexpected twist unfolds with Naomi’s id input into Code Eve, defying initial expectations and leaving the future of Neans and humans on a note of looming uncertainty…

Overall, the final episode provides closure to many plot threads, and the series as a whole leaves room for further exploration and development. Despite occasional narrative complexity and pacing issues, the resolution of the conflict between Rouge and the Puppetmaster delivers a satisfying conclusion. And despite most of the proceedings feeling like one big info dump due to possible time constraints, if Season 2 ever becomes a thing, I’d welcome to see where it goes next.
