English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Defending the Faction 60”

Overview:

Faction 60 comes under attack and Wang Ling does what he does best

Our Take:

When you come at the king you best not miss, unless you have no idea you’re coming at the king in which case you will probably miss and I’ll laugh my ass off watching it happen. As one of the students said when they broke the fourth wall in the last episode “Are they dumb?” I do not know why anyone attacks this school anymore when you know you’ll get messed up. Sure they don’t know WHY they get messed up but look when you hear a story about someone doing something and never returning it’s just smarter not to do that thing right?

With as wise and powerful as the professor is you would think that he would eventually figure out it’s Wang Ling doing all these amazing things. But like most people, he has no idea just how powerful Wang Ling is. That’s why it was so refreshing to me to see that Sun Rong does know the extent of his power and I want to see their relationship explored more because that’s where I think the conflict for Wang Ling lies. We’ve already seen that no physical threat can stand up to him but how about an emotional one? We already saw what he would do to keep her from dying, can you imagine what would happen if their relationship got even closer?
