Animals Friends Phil Matarese And Mike Luciano Re-Team For “Twins” Short
It has been a while since we’ve heard from Animals creators Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano, but that seems to have all changed as they have re-teamed with the same Starburns Industries studios that made the aforementioned HBO series fora brand-new short film called Twins.
The short follows a pair of twin brothers’ fraught relationship as told over a lifetime of vignettes. This short release as Phil Matarese has also recently released a collaboration with Nolan J. Downs that he’s bringing around festivals called Strong that you can watch here.
Suffice it to say, we might be hearing more from these guys in the coming months.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
