Netflix Teases Fall 2023 Premiere For Kengan Ashura
Netflix has no announced new original adult animation coming in April 2023, though we’re still hearing a Spring 2023 start date for Mulligan. As for anime, that’s even more sparse, with this series now being the only news in that regard. The second season of Kengan Ashura is slated to premiere September 2023 and it’s expected there to be an English dub because the network has already released a fully-translated poster that you can see above. You can read our review of the first season here.
32 companies and fighters gather on Ganryu Island for the “Kengan Annihilation Tournament.” The second match was between “The Ashura” Ohma Tokita and “The Taboo Descendent” Raian Kure.
Shouldering the hopes of Kazuo Yamashita, Ohma musters the last of his power and counters Raian Kure with the “Ohma Niko Style” to claim victory.
In Season 2, viewers will witness the finale of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, which was still in progress during the currently-streaming Season 1, and experience the story to the end of the manga “Kengan Ashura.”
The series was directed by Seiji Kishi and written by Makoto Uezu, with animation by Larx Entertainment. Kazuaki Morita provided character designs for the anime, while Yasuharu Takanashi composed the series’ music.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
