English Dub Review: Spy x Family “CARRY OUT THE GRIFFIN PLAN / FULLMETAL LADY / OMELET RICE♥”
Overview:
Anya and the rest of her class have an arts and crafts lesson where Anya is put in the same group as Damian. Sylvia goes about an ordinary workday. We learn the secret source of Yuri’s strength.
Our Take:
Anya’s plan backfired as her plans often do but now Becky has a crush on her dad so I think this might be the worst one. Can’t really blame her though because I think we all have a crush on Loid at this point. Becky also made a good point to her teacher, the assignment was to make a paper mache animal but she made Anya’s dad. She told the teacher that humans are animals and to be honest, she has a point.
What sets this anime apart from many others is how well it mixes so many different genres. At its core, it’s a comedy but there are some tense and dark moments too. Also, there are some great slice-of-life moments. It’s no wonder this has been one of the more popular anime to come around, I just can’t wait to see the next arc.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
