English Dub Review: Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer “The Knight, Sorano Hanako”
Overview
The eleven-eyed, shapeshifting golem appears before the Beast Knights as they grieve their loss of Kusakabe Tarou, and they gather forces to avenge him…
Our Take
During the 3-way battle for invincibility, I honestly wasn’t feeling this episode at the start but came around as it went on. Yuuhi fighting Yayoi was a major letdown so much so that it genuinely pissed me off watching it, as it just keeps running straight at her with no real plan yet we have an unexpected yet disappointing outcome by the end of it…
I will give credit where it’s due. Tarou’s shared story with Hanako is really tragic, in an almost Shakespearian sense. In combination with the other proceedings that came before it, Taro’s memory driving everyone to fight that knight golem in an almost “last hurrah” sort of way also gives it the emotional resonance it deserves.
Overall, while I was never a fan of Hanako as a character, it was kinda interesting to know more about her in terms of backstory. Hanako deeply cared about Tarou and that episode was there to claim her calm and the collected emotions in this episode were very well layered and gave us a build-up to the final moment really sold the drama. R.I.P mouse knight, you weren’t completely forgotten at least…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
