Review: Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head “Weird Girl/Time Travelers”
Overview
“Weird Girl”
“Time Travelers”
Our Take
I’ll be honest, both of this week’s episodes were pretty atypical dumbassery by the titular heroes, which is fine, but it did make me miss the variety brought in by the Middle-Age variety Beavis and Butt-Head. I do like the introduction of Gwyneth and hope she can be a regular character because I think her fawning over Beavis is pretty comical and can make for some fun ideas later on down the line.
The funniest bit in this week’s episode is the boys’ savage commentary during the Jacob Sartorious video. Dear Lord, this week’s episode is getting a half-point increase in its final score thanks to the unrelenting roast that Jacob gets at the hands of Beavis and Butt-Head. I’ve never even heard of this kid, but I loved every bit of the beating that the dynamic duo laid upon him and would like to see more of this down the road.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
