Adult Animated Horror News: Canvas, 99¢ Pizza, And Evil Dead

Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer and announced an onDemand release date of August 9th for the feature-length rotoscope-animated horror film Canvas. The feature is directed by Ryan Guiterman and features a cast of Steve Key as George Rohan, Isabel Ellison as Reila Martin, Marama Corlett as Maya, Mandy Bishop as Laura Rohan, Juan Francisco Villa as Sam, Sam Encarnación as Sean Harrington, Mia Hutchinson Shaw as Grace Rohan and Ell Peck as The Painter.

Synopsis:

In this midnight thriller, a demon known as ‘The Painter’ comes to Earth with a gruesome mission – to create new spawn from chaos and murder. FBI agent George Rohan finds himself tasked with covering up The Painter’s multiplying murders, meanwhile a dogged investigative journalist, Reila Martin works to unveil George’s growing web of lies.


According to Collider, an animated series inspired by Ash vs the Evil Dead is having early developmental talks with Bruce Campbell eyeing to reprise his role. Here’s the interview to hear more about what Bruce has to say about the possibility.
