English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “The Blackout”

Overview:

Osamu Kirin has been quietly exterminating the demons that have been appearing in the present day. He asks Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha to slay demons at the concert that is happening.

Our Take:

We are back in the Reiwa era! That is modern-day for those of us who don’t live in Japan. I had a feeling this would be the most fun part of the anime so far. Seeing these characters in modern-day did not disappoint. Osamu Kirin is also a night and day difference from Kirinmaru.

I know that eventually Towa and company might have to destroy him but I hope not. He is seemingly a good guy. He fought the demons with the girls so there must be a way for him to be kept alive. It’s also a testament to the talent of Crispin Freeman. They are both soooo different and he plays them both flawlessly.

Demons showing up at a concert was definitely the high point. Can you imagine seeing three girls jump on stage and blow a demon away with wind then fly away? I can’t but I bet it would be awesome.
