English Dub Review: Sasaki and Miyano “Just Beginning”

Oh THAT misunderstanding

Overview:

Now that Miyano is sure of his feelings, he can finally tell Sasaki. However, a misunderstanding threatens to derail everything.

Our Take:

I was waiting for the whole episode for this misunderstanding to happen and piss me off. But turns out it was just the kiss situation from the last episode. So don’t worry, this is as close to a happy ending as we are going to get.

Speaking of happy endings, I really like where this one went. Sure it had a lot of issues that are typical in romance anime but it also fixed a lot of issues that other anime don’t. The characters confess and we know where they stand, whereas a lot of other anime seem to end right in the middle of something. Not only that but another anime project for this series has been greenlit. I don’t know if it will be a movie or a second season or something but I am happy that’s happening. Though from what I can tell there might be enough content for a whole second season.

I am pretty excited to do a season review of this one. I think it stumbled where a lot of BL shows do but it also fixed a majority of that genre’s problems as well. Ultimately it was just a nice, wholesome romance.
