English Dub Review: Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro “Has Spring Come Even for You, the Unpopular Loner Louse Senpai?/ Did You Hear Her Talk About Love, Senpai?”
Overview:
Senpai isn’t sure he can beat the art club president in popularity at the culture festival. Nagatoro and the gang do everything they can to help him.
Our Take:
Well as far as endings go, I’ve seen worse. I still don’t quite get how this has already got a second season confirmed when there is a bunch of stuff out there far more deserving in my opinion but the second season could end up being a lot better. There was a little bit of progress with the leads but since I am pretty sure the manga is still ongoing I doubt any sort of conclusion will be had.
The main characters were probably my least favorite part. Like I saw Nagatoro being suggested for a lot of best girl lists and I am kind of wondering why. I know they dropped the bullying name for western audiences but man she did feel like a bully sometimes. But other times it felt like their idea of bullying is way off, the tone was just hard to find in this show. Ultimately, Nagatoro showed how she felt and Senpai did the same and that was enjoyable but man this show could have been a lot better.
