English Dub Review: Sasaki and Miyano “Senpai Is…”

Overview:

As Miyano continues lending Sasaki BL manga, he worries he might be bringing Sasaki negative attention. Miyano begins to question the nature of Sasaki’s relationship with him.

Our Take:

What really makes this show great is how all the nuances of people’s relationships get handled. I thought we were going to start to see Sasaki get bullied by a classmate in this episode but it turns out he’s a good guy. He was just wondering what was up with everyone including his girlfriend being into BL. Speaking of that character, their name is Ogasawara and I am pretty sure their VA is Jonah Scott. Based on the ending sequence we will probably get to see more of them soon.

I really hope Miyano starts to get a little more interesting cause as of now Sasaki is the clear winner in both development and enjoyment factor. He has the best lines and is actually making progress as a character. Miyano seems to just be questioning everything at every turn. Sasaki questions himself too but maybe it’s just his confidence in other aspects that makes him more interesting. But we are only three episodes in so I imagine Miyano’s time will come later.
