Funimation Announces English Dub Premiere For Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S
Set to premiere on August 4th for Funimation will be the English dubbed adaptation of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S. Based on the manga by coolkyousinnjya and produced by Kyoto Animation, Tatsuya Ishihara is replacing the late Yasuhiro Takemoto (via the Kyoto arson attack) as director, although Takemoto is credited as “series director” under Ishihara. Yuka Yamada is returning to supervise the series’ scripts, Masumi Itō is returning as music composer, and Miku Kadowaki and Nobuaki Maruki are returning as character designer and chief animation director, respectively. The anime series will have 13 episodes including an OVA episode slated to premiere sometime in 2022. Here is the English dub cast and crew.

Synopsis
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
